First Congregational Church of Houston (www.fcc-houston.org) - performed the 3rd Sunday of Easter 2007. This is a musical offering of Bach's Cantata number 4 Christ lag in Todesbanden. This work is one of Johann Sebastian Bach's most well-known cantatas. The style of this famous cantata clearly places it in the early part of Bach's career; it was probably composed for the Easter celebration in Muhlhausen in either 1707 or 1708. The bass solo was performed by FCC's own George Howe and the performance was prepared and Conducted by Tracy Shirk.
